Digmas. Birmingham’s original independent Christmas event December 7th - 8th 2019.
Birmingham's alternative Christmas celebration is back, and looks set to bring Digbeth to life in a celebration of all things festive this December 7th and 8th.
The event will include live music, street food, two market areas, the finest independent traders, festive films, PLUS very special guest Santa will be in Digbeth!
This lively, family-friendly event is an opportunity to pick up unique stocking fillers and gifts for friends and loved ones with our Festive Family Market taking over the Factory Works in the Courtyard, alongside a carefully curated makers market being held in Arch 21.
Local businesses are also getting in on the action with Baked in Brick offering Breakfast with Santa, Ridding and Wynn hosting festive Wreath Making workshops, the Audio Gym offering free DJ workshops for all the family, Stag Barbers hosting Santa’s party (Saturday) with free mince pies and Santa hats for all attendees and disco and funk spinning until the night.
Attendees can also enjoy Digbeth Art Space exhibition and Art Market, sample Stickie Fingers brand new Christmas menu which features a rather delectable and aptly named Digmas Pancake!
If that wasn’t enough the Mocking Bird Cinema will be screening festive films (The Polar Express, Home Alone and Love Actually) throughout the weekend, and The Gallery Church, in Zellig, will be hosting a very special Home Alone Christmas themed Service on Sunday 8th from 3.30pm.
The day will bring free workshops for the children, where they can enjoy festive themed painting and craft workshops, and for the adults, there will be a plethora of street food, craft beer and seasonal tipples to indulge in.
Expect mulled wine, hot chocolate, traditional carol singing and lots of fun for all the family!
